At this stage, we now have a better understanding of the way the real estate market works.

We see how Buyers are buying and we know the various steps they go through, and also how we might influence them at each stage – especially in light of what it is we are selling. So the goal of our marketing plan will be to provide opportunities for buyers to engage and experience us so that we can differentiate ourselves.

And this is indeed a nice model that explains and gives us insight to how the market works.

But, as we are marketing on the Web, we still need to bear in mind that the primary purpose of all our marketing is to generate leads so we can sell. And this is a “numbers” game.

“Leading indicators for the labor market are pointing to a likely pickup in the pace of employment gains over the course of this year,” said Joseph Tracy, executive vice president and senior adviser to New York Fed President William Dudley. The official’s comments came from the text of a speech to be delivered in Hartford, Conn., before the Connecticut Business & Industry Association/MetroHartford Alliance Economic Summit.

Tracy didn’t directly address the December jobs report released Friday in his prepared remarks. That data showed modest jobs and a drop in the unemployment rate, but did little to change the outlook for monetary policy. It appears likely the Fed will continue forward with its effort to buy $600 billion in longer dated Treasury bonds by the middle of next year.
